Biohazard formed in Brooklyn in 1987. Wikipedia, AllMusic and the 2001 archive of biohazard.com agree on the frame: Evan Seinfeld (bass, vocals), Billy Graziadei (guitar, vocals), Bobby Hambel (guitar) and, after Anthony Meo left, Danny Schuler on drums. They were among the first New York bands to run hardcore and heavy metal through a shouted, rhythmic delivery that critics later filed as rap-metal or groove. The self-titled Maze album landed in June 1990. Urban Discipline (Roadrunner, 1992) is the record most histories name first — “Punishment” sat in heavy rotation on MTV’s Headbangers Ball; later write-ups repeat a worldwide million for that album. State of the World Address followed in 1994 on Warner. Hambel left in 1995. Later studio marks include Mata Leão (1996), New World Disorder (1999), Uncivilization (2001, Rat Piss Studios in downtown Brooklyn, guests from Pantera, Type O Negative, Cypress Hill, Slipknot, Agnostic Front), then Kill or Be Killed, Means to an End and Reborn in Defiance (2012). The band split, reunited in 2008, went quiet again, then the classic four returned in 2022–23. Divided We Fall was released 17 October 2025 (press names Napalm / BLKIIBLK; Matt Hyde produced). Single “Forsaken” arrived that June with a live clip from Melkweg, Amsterdam.
